How to check your tyre size

What do the numbers on the tyre sidewall mean?

For example the tyre on the left:

205..The tyre section width in millimetres. (width)
65....Tyre wall height divided by tyre width. (profile)
R .....Tyre construction. (in this case R for radial)
16 ....Rim diameter in inches. (16 inch wheel)
95.... Load Index.  (In this case 690kg)
V...... Speed Rating. (In this case 150mph)

It is extremely important that you give us the correct information from your tyre walls, so please take your time and check every tyre that you are changing as some vehicles have different size tyres on the front and rear. Write it down and contact us, to avoid any unfortunate mistakes and therefore delays every tyre will be double checked by us before renewal.

If you are still unsure we are happy to talk you through the process on telephone.
